exe as always launch as admin, then starting trough Steam (Guy on the Steam forums said it fixed it) Closing all antivirus and and antimalware applications before launching. Fully uninstalling and doing a fresh re-download of Ylands exe as admin and launching Steam as admin It's been nearly a day now, and I've tried just about anything. It seems likely that windows 10 may resolve any issues that windows 8 might face. I hate to sound like a sales-person as well! But you can get your hands on a free upgrade to windows 10, if you were interested in doing such a thing (expires at the end of this month).

Your PC spec seems like there should be no issue, I would have to concur with the driver updates, failing that, any supporting software or technology that your card or operating system (windows 8) might require (windows updates or game ready technology). P.S.: Should I expect a Day-One patch tonight? Thanks again, I'll post on updates tomorrow. Thanks a lot.ġTB HDD, Running Win 8.0, plenty of free space remaining.

Sounds like it might work, so I'll run the driver update overnight. In the tool, select Save All Information for an easily shared format. In Windows, select Start and enter dxdiag into the search box on the taskbar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Ĭould you please run a DXDiag and post the results? Note: I was also asked to include an "output_log_clean", but there is no such thing in my game files.

I don't know what these are, and my task manager is showing no such thing.Īttached, the output_log file from Ylands_Data (as requested by a dev on Steam forums), WinRAR compressed crash folder. I was told to disable Rivaturner, EVGA PrecisionX or MSI Afterburner.

I am hesitant to refresh my Graphics card drivers (Just did that a few days ago, download takes too long due to slow internet and I don't have time for it right now). I tried the usual steps, restarting PC, running as admin, verifying game files. Activision also has stated that PlayStation players will have an “exciting Day 1 advantage.” No other information regarding precisely what this Day 1 advantage is was made available.Just bought and downloaded the game on release, launching it instantly gives me an error message explaining there has been a crash and a crash report has been saved.

Two early examples of this were the Gunfight Alpha and first Beta weekend for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which were only available to PlayStation 4 players. However, this lack of early access to post-launch content access does not mean PlayStation will not be receiving some form of benefit when it comes to their exclusivity deal with the franchise.

This cross-platform capability would be severely hindered if PlayStation 4 players got access to content before their Xbox One and PC counterparts. The publisher explained the motivation behind this decision was to ensure that “content will be released in a way that enables all players to continue to seamlessly play together.” This reasoning is not shocking considering Modern Warfare will be the very first Call of Duty game to allow players from different platforms to play with each other. This means that PlayStation 4 players will no longer receive post-launch content ahead of Xbox One and PC players. While PlayStation once again has an exclusive contract with the franchise for this year’s entry of Modern Warfare, it will be much different from years past.Īctivision has announced that post-launch content (new multiplayer maps, new multiplayer modes, special ops missions and more) will be launching at the same time across all platforms. PlayStation has had the exclusivity deal for the past few years beginning with Black Ops III. These exclusivity deals have seen both Xbox and PlayStation be the first when it comes to receiving content for various Call of Duty games. The high-profile first-person shooter franchise of Call of Duty has had an exclusivity deal with either Xbox or PlayStation for over a decade.
